East of the river
Valencia and Tomé lie along NM-47 on the east side of the Rio Grande, across from Los Lunas. Near the highway and river it's valley farm ground; to the east the land rises toward the mesa and the soil turns sandier. Many properties sit in that transition, with a bit of both.
What we build here
- Driveways on valley ground — soft soil removed, thicker base, slope for drainage.
- Driveways on sandier ground — compacted base and supported edges so sand doesn't wash or shift.
- Long drives with asphalt near the house and chip seal or millings beyond.
- Turnarounds and trailer parking on larger lots.
Storm runoff
Water coming off the higher ground to the east heads toward the river across these lots. We plan swales and outlets so it crosses your property without crossing your driveway's base.

Common questions
Do you work in Tomé?
Yes — throughout Valencia and Tomé.
My lot is part sand, part clay. Is that a problem?
Not if each section gets the base it needs. We'll check at the site walk.
Can you stop runoff crossing my drive?
Usually with a swale and culvert.
